đź“š Data Collection Practices
We believe in transparency about the data we collect to provide our intelligent learning services. Here's an overview of the categories of data we work with:
Knowledge Source Documents
These are the core materials that power tia's predictive search and real time answer capabilities. They may include:
- Technical documentation
- Websites and blogs
- Support tickets
- FAQs
- Internal documents
- PDFs
You have full control over what content is provided to tia for ingestion. You can view and delete this content at any time, ensuring you maintain oversight of your data.
Chat Messages and Responses
We retain both Chat Messages, the text or input provided by your users to tia's service, and Responses, the output generated by tia in response to user messages.
We retain messages and responses for several key purposes:
- Insights:Â Providing your team with insights into topics, sentiment, and other valuable metrics.
- User Functionality:Â Enabling features like feedback mechanisms, chat sharing, and conversation history.
- Monitoring:Â Ensuring the proper use of our service and preventing misuse.
As an enterprise customer, you can customize the retention period for conversations, or disable Insights entirely.
User Data
When embedded in your site, your application can choose to provide user IDs or other identifying information such as name and email address for inclusion in tia's Insights. We understand the sensitivity of this data, so you have the flexibility to customize or opt out of User Data collection to align with your organization's policies and preferences. For more information on the options here, see our Embed Technical Documentation.
When using tia in Slack, tia does not receive your user data.
