💼 Add tia where you work
You'll get the most value out of tia and your experience by adding it wherever you work. For example, if you work in Slack, it would be good to add your experience there.
To add tia where you work, navigate to your experience and click the 'Connections' tab to see the list of available connections. We're adding connections all the time, here's the ones we have today.
Browser Extensions
We have extensions for Chrome and Firefox. From the 'Connections' tab simply click the browser you're interested in adding your experience to and you'll be directed to the respective extension/addon store to install the extension. After installation, you'll be able to click on the tia icon to activate it on any website. The first time you click on the tia icon you'll be prompted to enter your email address and embed ID. Your embed ID can be found on the 'Connections' tab after clicking on the respective browser. Your email address is only used to track the number of users for the experience and to maintain chat history.
If you grant access to read the data on the webpage, tia will be adaptive, displaying AI-driven predictions if you have configured AI Prompts or Documents on the Welcome Screen. This is optional, tia will function without this permission as well.
Add to Slack
If you want to add tia to Slack, just click the 'Add to Slack' button and you'll be directed to Slack to begin the installation process.
After installation, you can interact with tia in Slack in two ways:
- Direct Message: Simply message tia and within a few seconds you'll have a real time answer to your question.
- Within a public or private channel: After adding tia to a channel you'll be able to @tia and receive an answer as a reply.
Add to Zoom
If you would like to add tia to Zoom, click the ‘Add to Zoom’ button to be directed to accept some permissions for Google Calendar. Afterwards, you’ll be able to specify a ‘Join Phrase’, which is how tia will know what meetings to join, and a bot name.
For an example of how a ‘Join Phrase’ could be used, by specifying a join phrase of [tia], tia will automatically join any meetings that have a title containing that phrase, “[tia]”. Given a meeting titled “Office Hours [tia]”, tia will automatically join once the meeting has started. However, tia will not join any meetings without the join phrase present, such as a meeting with the title of “1:1 Catch up”.
After tia has joined your meeting, you can interact with tia in Zoom in a couple ways:
- By asking a question: tia will respond to questions asked in the meeting and provide answers sent directly to you, the meeting’s host.
- Direct Message: Select tia in the Zoom chat, ask a question, and within a few seconds you’ll have a real time answer to your question.
Don’t forget to enable local recording so that tia can join meetings and provide answers.
